Our Mission

We're a team of financial professionals who've passed Series exams and tested every major prep course on the market. We started SeriesExamReview because we were frustrated by:

  • Biased reviews from course providers pretending to be "independent"
  • Outdated comparisons that don't reflect current product quality
  • Affiliate sites that recommend the highest-paying course, not the best course
  • Lack of transparency about how courses are actually tested

Our mission: Provide honest, unbiased reviews to help you choose the best Series exam prep course for your needs and budget. We don't sell courses - we help you find the right one.

Our Story

SeriesExamReview was founded in 2025 by a group of registered investment advisors, broker-dealer representatives, and financial professionals. We've collectively passed over 30 Series exams (6, 7, 24, 63, 65, 66, and more).

When we were studying, we wasted time and money on courses that didn't work for us. One of us failed the Series 7 twice using an expensive course before switching to a cheaper option and passing easily. Another paid $1,000 for Series 65 prep that was riddled with outdated content.

We realized there was no independent, trustworthy source comparing all the major prep courses. So we built one. We purchase every course anonymously, test them rigorously, and publish honest reviews - even when it costs us affiliate commissions.

Editorial Independence

While we operate other education technology products, SeriesExamReview maintains strict editorial independence. Our reviews are honest, our rankings are merit-based, and we treat all providers equally - including our own products.

If our product isn't the best fit for you, we'll tell you exactly which competitor to choose instead.

We believe long-term trust is worth more than short-term commissions. Our reputation depends on honest reviews, so that's what we deliver.

How We Work

We Buy Anonymously

Every course we review is purchased anonymously at full price. No promotional access, no review copies, no special treatment. We experience the same onboarding, content, and support as you would.

We Test Thoroughly

Our team tests each course for 2-4 weeks. We complete study modules, take practice exams, contact support, test the mobile app, and identify any issues. Two reviewers test independently for objectivity.

We Rank on Merit

Rankings are based on 15 objective criteria (question quality, content accuracy, mobile app, support, etc.). No provider can pay for better placement. We earn different affiliate commissions from different providers, but rankings are independent of commission rates.

We Update Quarterly

Courses change - they add features, update content, adjust pricing. We re-review every course quarterly to ensure rankings reflect current quality. Major changes trigger immediate re-review.
